Strengthening Connections with the Afghan Community
We were honored to welcome Khalsa Aid to South Vancouver Neighbourhood House for a special community lunch.
Khalsa Aid has generously supported newcomers, migrant workers and families in need by donating food, clothing, shoes, household items and winter jackets to our community.
Their kindness and ongoing support have made a meaningful difference to many families.
As a gesture of appreciation and strengthening our ongoing partnership SVNH invited the Khalsa Aid team on October 3rd, 2026 to a simple lunch and presented them with an Indigenous drum crafted and painted by Chris Wilson (our Indigenous Community Programmer) from Haisla Nations.
