Healthy Aging Program Coordinator (Part Time) SVNH

Job Summary

SVNH is seeking a Healthy Aging Program Coordinator to join its Seniors Team.

This role supports older adults through the coordination of social meals, transportation, friendly visiting, and light home maintenance programs, while fostering community connections and volunteer engagement.

  • Coordinate and deliver seniors' programs, including Social Meals, Friendly Visiting, Transportation, and Better at Home services.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Conduct outreach, home visits, needs assessments, and referrals for older adults.
  • Build partnerships with community agencies, funders, and .
  • Monitor program outcomes, maintain records, prepare reports, and support grant applications.
  • Promote healthy aging, social inclusion, and aging in place initiatives within South Vancouver communities.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Gerontology, Social Work, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with seniors and culturally diverse communities.
  • Strong knowledge of community development, volunteer management, and seniors' services.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, record-keeping, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and volunteer management systems.
  • Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are considered an asset.

Position Details

  • Position: Regular Part-Time (32 hours/week)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Compensation: $28.87/hour
  • Start Date: October 13, 2026 (estimated)
