Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator Job Posting
South Vancouver Neighbourhood House is seeking a creative, caring, and passionate Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator (IT ECE) to join our licensed 12-space Infant Childcare Program. The successful candidate will help deliver high-quality, inclusive, and Reggio-inspired early learning experiences for children aged 18 months to 3 years in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and Reggio-inspired programs for children aged 18 months to 3 years.
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of children in care.
- Support children's daily care routines and developmental needs.
- Build positive relationships with families, caregivers, and community partners
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging childcare environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team collaboration.
Qualifications
- Valid BC Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Educator License.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting serving children aged 0-3 years.
- Valid First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certification.
- Clear Criminal Record Check upon hire.
- Knowledge of BC Early Learning Framework (ELF) and Reggio-inspired practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
- Special Needs ECE and second language skills are assets.
Position Details
- Status: Regular Full-Time
- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Start Date: October 1, 2026
- Location: South Vancouver Neighbourhood House, Vancouver, BC
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage: $24.56-$26.31/hour based on qualifications and experience.
- Additional: $6.00/hour MCFD Wage Enhancement for eligible candidates.
