NEWS - Neighbourly Together connects seniors to community

What is it?

Neighbourly Together is a new service offered here at SVNH. The program connects seniors to community programs and services to help them stay healthy in mind and body, and age in place.

How does it work?

Volunteers help create a culture of care for seniors in our community. They will meet seniors at home, at the library, or somewhere seniors feel comfortable to have a talk. They will provide community information, referrals to services, or just provide friendly visits.

Who are the volunteers?

Volunteers are trained in peer support, effective listening, conflict resolution, and more. Volunteers speak English, Punjabi, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese and Spanish.

How do I register?

For more information or to volunteer, call Ping at (604) 324-6212 or email
