NEWS - Apply for Small Grants to Mark Canada's 150th

Be a part of marking Canada’s 150th Birthday!

Apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant to do something special in your neighbourhood. Create a get-together with your neighbours to enhance your neighbourhood socially, culturally or physically. There will be a select number of grants of between $50 to $500 offered in your neighbourhood. In keeping with Neighbourhood Small Grants guidelines, two neighbours apply together! (Your project should take place locally, encourage volunteerism, and the participation of local residents for free.) The theme is “ Marking Canada’s 150th Anniversary” and we encourage projects with the following focus: Youth, Aboriginal heritage and cultural diversity. Some example ideas include: organizing a neighbourhood time capsule, collecting neighbourhood history and stories, a neighbourhood newsletter.

Online applications will be accepted September 5th to September 23rd, 2016.

Application deadline is September 23rd. The resident committee will review and approve projects to take place mid-October to January 15, 2017
