South Vancouver Neighbourhood House serves the community within the boundaries of East 41st Avenue to the north, Cambie Street and beyond to the west, Boundary Road to the east, and the Fraser River to the south.
Our boundaries are flexible. Don't let the above get in the way of your need. Give us a call regardless of where you live and we can either assist you ourselves or refer you to where you can get the best possible service.
Safe Harbour is a BC-wide program that creates an environment where all members of our community feel welcomed and safe. Since 2006, South Vancouver Neighbourhood House (SVNH) has been both a Safe Harbour Community Organizer and a Safe Harbour site. Local Safe Harbour networks provide a resource to local businesses and agencies to be better prepared to serve an increasingly diverse staff and clientele. Being a Community Organizer means that SVNH is recruiting and training local businesses on an ongoing basis to become Safe Harbour sites. If you ever feel you have been treated unfairly or discriminated against, you can find temporary refuge in one of the Safe Harbour sites. Look for the Safe Harbour decal to find local Safe Harbour sites! Visit http://www.safeharbour.ca/ for more info.
